10th Workshop - Asphere Metrology on Joint Investigations

The immense interest shown in our round robin “Asphere Metrology” was confirmed once again at the 8th High Level Expert Meeting (HLEM) - Asphere Metrology in March 2015. Due to the strong demand in the aftermath of this event, a new workshop will be held again in March 2016. In addition to presentations on measurements, theoretical presentations complement the program.

Accompanying the workshop, institutions from research and industry inform you about the different technologies, systems, abilities as well as the latest developments in an exhibition.

The Samples

In several preceding workshops and High Level Expert Meetings (HLEM), asphere and free form metrology, supported by two round robin measurements, has been presented and discussed within the international community.

Starting 1. September 2014 interested organizations had the opportunity to measure the four new selected aspheres (for each a CGH is avaliable). These samples have even higher requirements and more precise specifications.

Especially the presentation of the measurement-results during our upcoming conference promises again to become very interesting. The performed measurements will be presented during the meeting. Also the presentation of comparison from all measurement results (form 4 new aspheres) will be absorbing. Contributions on calibration methods for cylindrical optics, the measurement of free-form surfaces, simulations for optical metrology, discussions on the specific presentations as well as discussions on future steps in general will complete the conference.
